The war's end
Although 11 November 1918 marked the end of the conflict, this was not the end of the story for some of Britain's historic vessels. The map of Europe was changing and there was a continued effect on the maritime industry which saw vessels transporting materials for rebuilding works, providing convalescent activities for the wounded and taking part in celebrations to commemorate the Peace.
