Hospital Boat No. 67

Tranferring casualties

HOSPITAL BOAT No.67 was used throughout the First World War to transfer casualties from hospital ships arriving in Portsmouth from various theatres of war to the Haslar Royal Naval Hospital, Gosport, Hampshire.

She was built in 1912 by J Samuel White at Cowes, Isle of Wight. This Royal Naval Hospital Boat is of timber carvel construction, and was originally fitted with 2 Parsons semi-diesel engines.

Where is she now?

 HOSPITAL BOAT NO.67 is currently laid up in the Devonshire Avon Estuary
