Prince Helig
The backbone of the NavyPRINCE HELIG was a Fast Motor Boat designed to be used as a seaplane tender, and the order was placed by the Admiralty in 1918 with John Thornycroft’s Hampton Launch Works, based at Platts Eyott on the Thames. With the ending of the First World War in November 1918, the order was cancelled. Nevertheless, construction continued, and she was launched in 1919. PRINCE HELIG is believed to be the only survivor of her class.
